Executive Director: Andrew “Mo” Marullo
Mo is one of the founding members of DRIVE 2 Succeed. He holds a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a masters degree in Recreation Administration from Southern Connecticut State University. Mo’s past positions at SCSU include President of the Student Government Association and Captain of the SCSU Men’s Rugby Club. He was also one of the founding student members of the FYE Peer Mentor Program. He completed a 2-year internship as the Fitness Intern at SCSU while working on his masters degree. He is certified as a physical education teacher and is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. Throughout his many experiences, Andrew has a developed a passion for helping youth develop into healthy and successful individuals.
Youth Development Specialist: John Marullo
John is currently a senior sport management major at Southern Connecticut State University. He is also the former captain of the 2011-2012 SCSU men’s rugby team. He has been playing the sport of rugby since he was 16 and has competed at the highest level of high school and college rugby in the country. John has been a lead coach and mentor since the founding days of DRIVE 2 Succeed. He has a passion for coaching and helping students develop into great people.
Lead Coach and Youth Mentor: Dan Rosa
Dan holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and a Masters degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University. As the former general manager of Bulldog Tutors he gained a passion for improving students’ reading and writing skills. Dan also has been playing and coaching rugby since he was 16 years old. For the past 10 years he has been fully divulged in the world of rugby and its culture. His experience as captain and president of the SCSU Rugby Club has given him a great passion for improving student success through the intrinsic values of the game of rugby.
Science Education Specialist: Gabrielle Corradino
Gabrielle is currently the science educator for DRIVE 2 Succeed. Her science program focuses on STEM topics which includes biological dissections, engineering, chemistry and environmental studies. Gabrielle is currently working toward her graduate degree in marine ecology at Southern Connecticut State University. She also teaches undergraduate level Biology courses at SCSU.
Lawyer: Jamie McGloin-King
Jamie is a solo practitioner, admitted to practice in New York and Kentucky, and in the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has graciously put in much time and effort to help DRIVE 2 Succeed get off the ground and secure 501(c)(3) status.
